For the last visit as K4’s to the library, we shared books about Jesus loving us. The students then practiced signing the word love.

After listening to “The Ant and the Grasshopper” we practiced signing “ant” and “grasshopper” in sign language.


Now it is time to choose a book to check out and share with parents at home. This takes some real decision making skills.








First Grade was introduced to the genre of biography by listening to ‘Young Amelia Earhart” and then learning the sign for the word airplane. May 3, 2024
First Grade Celebrates Dr. Seuss’s Birthday













Students were to complete a grid with 16 different genres during the second trimester. If they had all 16 stamped they were invited to an ice cream party. We also invited Staff to join us. The Ice Cream was supplied by Kilwins Store in BayShore.









Grades 2 through 5 are playing 3X3 bingo to practice signing the numbers 1-25. A student first rehearses signing the numbers and then “calls” the numbers for the bingo game. There is no talking during the playing of the game. A row of three in either direction counts as a win. This hopefully will be a real world application of signing numbers.
